Have you taken the Single Use Pledge? Sydney businesses are, will you?

RePlated’s founder Naomi Tarszisz was thrilled to be in great company as one of the innovative suppliers speaking at the launch event for City of Sydney’s Pledge for businesses to eliminate single use.

This is a commitment from businesses in the City of Sydney to stop using at least 4 single use plastic items within their CoS locations. These include food containers as well as straws, condiment packages, coffee cups, water cups etc. It’s a long list and the companies that are taking the step deserve all our support for the work.

The energy from our Lord Mayor was absolutely fantastic. To the other suppliers and signatories who not only got up and talked about what they are doing not only inspired nearly 200 attendees around this issue, but also braved the extremely bracing morning for the photos.

If you haven’t taken the pledge yet and your a building owner, manager or tenant within the City of Sydney it isn’t to late to sign up!

RePlated makes beautiful, reusable takeaway food containers for offices, buildings & campus environments and we design systems for their reuse and implementation.

We have a live pilot in Surry Hills currently and are looking for more pilot partners to get involved. On just one floor of an office building, purchasing a relatively modest 25% of their takeaway in single use containers they are saving up to 5,000 single use food containers a year. It all adds up pretty quickly.
